Wyatt Allen

Wyatt Preston Allen, was born in Columbus, Indiana on January 6, 1926 and passed away on June 30th, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Bobbie) Hoback Allen, 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. He is survived by his 5 children, Bob and Judy Allen, Ron and Cathy Allen, Jerry and Barbara Allen, and Judy Allen, all of Corpus Christi, and Linda & Mike Bender of Poteet, Texas as well as 8 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren & one great-great grandson. He was a WWII SUB VET, worked for CP&L for 38 years, he was a Shriner, a Mason, a member of the Annaville Volunteer Fire Department and Sherriff Johnny Mitchell’s Horse Mounted Posse in the 60’s and a member of Annaville Baptist Church. He had many friends in Corpus Christi, Mathis and Poteet, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6th from 5-7 pm at Sawyer- George Funeral Home at 12497 Leopard St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78410. Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, July 7th at 10:00 am at Sawyer- George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at The Bender Bend Family Cemetery at 4 pm on Thursday, July 7th in Poteet, Texas.
