William Lee "PaBud" Bevly, Sr., 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith", 2nd Timothy 4:7. He was born May 15, 1931 in Robstown, Texas to Louis David and Rebecca Lucille (Redden) Bevly. He was a very generous, loving and caring son, grandson, brother, husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law, daddy, PaBud, great PaBud, uncle, and friend who enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a member of Calallen Baptist Church and Skidmore Baptist Church, and was involved with South Texas Children's Home, helping build it from the beginning, and was a foster parent. He was a retired farmer, a Deacon at Calallen Baptist Church, a RA leader, served on the school board for 25 years at Calallen I.S.D. and worked with the Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief Team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dominoes (42). He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, June Allene Bevly, his parents, and a sister, Virginia Bevly Peterson. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Kay Bevly of Calallen, Texas; his son, Lee Bevly, Jr. (Cyndi) of Utopia, Texas, their children, Andrew (Vicki) Bevly, Kathryn Bevly, Amy (Kyle) Roach, and Jason Bevly; his son, Thomas Bevly (Tiffany) of Alvarado, Texas and his children, Robert, Melinda and Alex Bevly; his former daughter-in-law, Carolyn Loyd; his foster children, Luke, Timothy and Jacob Balencia; his brother, David Bevly; his sister, Ruth Wood. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 8 P.M. with the family present from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, August 3, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lee Bevly, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas.
