W. C. “Dub” O’Neal, 82, of Corpus Christi , Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in Austin, Texas. He was born on January 27, 1933 in Wilson, Oklahoma to John and Leta O’Neal. He was the youngest of five brothers who grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a star football player for Miller High School and one year for Texas Christian University before going into the U. S. Navy. He married his wife of 55 years, Billie Riddle O’Neal. He was a hard working welder and business man his entire life. He started and ran O’Neal’s Welding and Fabrication Inc. up until his retirement. The only thing that gave him more enjoyment than deer hunting on his ranch in South Texas were his sons and his grandchildren. He was able to live his finally days at the family ranch in the Texas Hill Country. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Troy and Leta May O’Neal, his wife of 55 years, Billie Fay O’Neal, son, Larry D. O’Neal and two brothers, Ted and Bud O’Neal. He was survived by his sons, Barry Lane O’Neal and wife Beatrice, Carry Wayne O’Neal and partner David Lang; three grandchildren, W. C. O’Neal II and wife Sarah of Johnson City, Texas, Trinity J. O’Neal of Austin, Texas and Brittany O’Neal of Austin, Texas. A special thanks to all the people at Corpus Christi Nursing & Rehab, especially the girls working in Rehab, for all their hard work. Visitation with the family present will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 2 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Mathisen officiating. Interment will follow in Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery.
