Velma Worden

Velma Maurine Worden, age 86, of Christine, Texas passed away May 19, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born October 14, 1929 In Inadale, Texas to M.O. and Callie Jauer. She was a homemaker, a secretary, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pleasanton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Milton Worden, a daughter, Diane Lee Cropaperlik, three sisters, Rose Blair, Marion Shank and Wilma Dennis, one brother, Monroe Jauer, Jr. Velma is survived by two sons, Milton Worden of Mason, Texas, Bruce Alan Worden of Portland, Texas; two sisters, Pauline Jones Neal of Pleasanton, Texas, Francis Hurley of Mathis; two brothers, Clyde David Jauer of Calallen, R. W. “Buddy” Jauer of Ackerly, Texas; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Robstown Memorial Park.
