Travis Ryan Weaver, 31 of Odem, Tx. passed away in his sleep on May 22, 2024. Travis was born on August 6, 1992 in Corpus Christi, Tx. He was raised in the greater Corpus Christi area graduating from Skidmore-Tynan High School in 2011 and Coastal Bend College in Beeville with his Associates Degree in welding.
Travis is survived by his mother Michelle Weaver, maternal grandparents Danny and Nancy Weaver, maternal aunt Amanda Weaver, maternal aunt Christy (Sam) Collier, cousin Alex (Tina) Collier and children Eli, Piper, Jake, Scarlett, Barrett and cousin Austin Collier.
Travis is also survived by his father Michael (Racy) Kane, paternal grandparents Rae Kane, Dan Super, Yvonne Irwin; Step brother Holden (Jennifer) Grant and children Zoey and Noah, and Step brothers Camden Grant, and Landen Grant.
Travis was a CDL driver. He worked for years traveling over the road and then with his father in the Dallas area delivering concrete and rock. Travis returned to Odem to work with his mother and grandparents in the family business making goods and selling them at local Farmers Markets while also working with the San Patricio County Roads and Bridges Division.
His idea of a good time was going to Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and a movie with family or friends, and he loved to fish, especially with his grandfather Danny. His favorite hobby was hassling his friends and coworkers about any and all topics.
Living his life with a loving and generous heart, Travis liked to be with people and was always ready to help anyone with willing hands and a big smile. He couldn't stand to see children hungry or in need and did all he could to help supply what was lacking.
Travis hated dressing up, so we are asking everyone to dress casually and be comfortable. Services are Friday, May 31, 2024, at Grace United Methodist Church, 14521 Northwest Boulevard, Corpus Christi, TX 78410, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Come visit with the family beginning at 4:00 pm and join us for a short memorial service at 5:30 pm. We will then adjourn for food and fellowship where we would love to hear your favorite "Travis Story.”
In lieu of flowers, Travis's family requests donations to a food bank or church pantry or asks that you take your family to Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and a movie and have some fun realizing that time is fleeting and very, very precious.
