Travis Wayne Ticer passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Wayne was born February 19, 1938 in Big Springs, Texas to John Quincy and Martha Ellen Ticer. He graduated from Pecos High School, attended Cisco Junior College, and graduated Sul Ross University in 1961. He worked for Ford Motor Credit for 18 years and retired from Anderson Machinery in 2006. He loved playing golf and fishing, dancing and singing karaoke. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and one son, Wesley Ray Ticer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gula Lee Ticer; his sons, Kerry Wayne (Christi) Ticer of Corpus Christi, Texas and Keith Alan Ticer of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Kathy Lee Ticer of San Antonio, Texas and Kandice Michelle (Clayton) Lauderdale of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughters, Lesley Ticer, Amanda Evans and three great grandchildren, Kevin Ticer, Waylon Lauderdale and Ashtyn Lauderdale; one sister, Juanella Burton of Carlsbad, New Mexico; two brothers, Danny Ticer of Runaway Bay, Texas and John Ticer of Midland, Texas; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dean Bearden officiating. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Gulf Coast Humane Society, Pee Wees, P.A.L.S or any favorite charity. Thanks to all at Trisun River Ridge who loved and cared for him.
