Timothy James Pieper, 48, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on March 15, 2014. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 10, 1965 to Elroy and Lula Beth Pieper and was the middle child of three. Tim's mother passed away when he was one and his father later married, Ginger LaGrone, who became Tim's beloved step-mother. Upon graduating from Judson High School, Tim joined the United States Army and became an AIRBORNE RANGER in the 82nd AIRBORNE DIVISION, at Fort Bragg, NC. After 4 years of active duty and 4 years of inactive reserves, Tim was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army in 1995. During his service at Ft. Sam Houston, he met and married a beautiful and wonderful woman, Vicki Pusley. Tim, Vicki and Tim's son, Matthew, relocated to Corpus Christi and their family grew when a baby girl, Ashley, was born. After his discharge from the military, Tim worked at R&R Contractors/Strike for 17 years and for Industrial Site Services in Sinton for almost 3 years. Tim, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, is survived by his wife, Vicki (Pusley) Pieper; his son, Sergeant Matthew Pieper (Shannan), his daughter Ashley Pieper; his parents, Elroy and Ginger (LaGrone) Pieper; his two brothers, John and Michael Pieper; his beloved grand-daughters, Avery and Aria Pieper and numerous nieces and nephews. His honor, courage, dignity, loyalty, and commitment that he displayed in his life will forever be remembered, and lives on in his children. Visitation will be from 4pm until 6pm on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:30am. Graveside services will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00pm. After services, the family will be accepting friends and family at Michael Pusley's home, 3916 Castle Valley Drive in Corpus Christi. Pallbearers will be Sergeant Matthew Pieper, John Pieper, Michael Pieper, Joshua Pusley, Zach Pusley, Lance Pusley and Michael Pusley.
