Thomas Gabriel Camacho

August 19, 1983 — July 27, 2021

Corpus Christi

Thomas Gabriel Camacho was called home to our Lord on July 27, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. Thomas was born on August 19, 1983 two months premature, weighing 3 lbs, and running against the wind.  Thomas was known for being the life of the party, his sense of humor, and his capacity for loving unconditionally.  Thomas had the capability to forgive people, love with every part of his being, and asked for nothing in return.

Thomas was a graduate of Roy Miller High School where he graced the hallways with his friends, laughter, and the football field.  He honed his cooking skills at Del Mar College and serving up food at many local restaurants.  Thomas loved his Whataburger on Texas Toast with onion rings, any kind of taco as long as it was wrapped in a flour tortilla, and BBQ. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Spurs basketball, and any reason to get together with his family and friends. He enjoyed having his family together, whether it be Sunday football and BBQing, a holiday celebration, or someone’s birthday. And if he couldn’t be there because of work, he would call and say, “save me a plate!”  Thomas was a sneakerhead who always had to have the latest pair of sneakers and a master of the latest video game. Thomas surrounded himself with knowledge, he was well read, and he could hold a conversation with anyone. Most of all Thomas loved being a dad and loved his children, Gigi, Serenity, and Romeo.

Thomas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Delia Adame Silva; his uncle, Julian Camacho; his step father, Timothy Dykes; his grandfather, Juan Jose Silva, Jr., and his Wella, Lucia Camacho and Maximo Camacho, Sr.; his great grandparents, Dolores and Juan Adame, Carolina and Juan Jose Silva, Sr.. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Susanna Silva Dykes; his father, Mr. and Mrs. Maximo Camacho; his children, Gigi, Serenity, and Romeo; sisters, Taylor Dykes, Shelby Picha, and Lauren Mayes; nieces, Bella and Abby Picha; nephew, Andrew Picha, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers for the services will be Issac Camacho Jr., Maximo Llanas, Jonathan Ybarra, Mark Camacho, Jared Camacho and Earl Ben.
