Thomas Schanen

Thomas John "TJ" Schanen, 33, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, December 30, 2017. TJ was a beautiful soul who loved life and loved his family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his love of being at the beach, fishing and as a hard worker, who was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by those he loved and those who loved him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Lee Wofford, Vernon John Schanen and Mary Lorene Schanen and his cousin Scott Causey. He is survived by his mother, Bobbye Schanen; his father, Vernon John "Johnny" Schanen, Jr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Keith Wilks, and nephew and niece, Walker and Kassidy, who will affectionately always remember him as "Uncle Tootsie". He is also survived by his grandmother, Elaine Wofford; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, January 8, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sawyer George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, with burial following at Beeville Memorial Park. He will be laid to rest next to his paternal grandparents and cousin Scott. Pall bearers will be his cousins, William Causey Jr., Eric Schanen, Aaron Schanen, Scott "Andy" Causey, Jr., Adam Loeffler, and Aaron Loeffler.
