Tammie passed away on July 13, 2023, at Houston Methodist Hospital. She was in the presence of her loving family. She was born on April 24,1971 in Corpus Christi, Texas to her parents, Chuck and Sharon Johnson.
Tammie started working for Fluor Engineering in Sugarland Texas at the age of 19 years old and remained with the company for 27 years as a project cost control specialist. She traveled to so many parts of the world but her 5-year assignment in Doha, Qatar was one of her most memorable times with the company.
She moved back to her hometown in 2020 to start a new life close to her family and friends due to illness.
Tammie was a loving and compassionate person who was the sunshine in her family’s life. She had the most beautiful laugh that could light up your soul. She loved dogs, cooking, music, karaoke nights with family and friends, and going to the beach.
Although she never had any of her own, she loved and adored children most of all. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life.
She is survived by her parents, Chuck and Sharon Johnson; brother, Bubba Johnson (Rickie); her bonus sister, Shelly Posas (Ryan); lifetime friend, Carol Naylor (Nathan) and her companion, Doug Stanford. She is also survived by her father’s sisters, Dr. Sue Prill (Jim), Roni Bucey (Joel) and brother, Jack Johnson(Linda); her mother’s sisters, Pat Crowder Marsha Bellinger (Skip), Lorrie Hayden, Alice Thomas(Allen) , Kathy Ewing (Greg); brother, Charlie Hayden and wife, Maria; her nieces and nephews that she adored: Shailynn, Charlie and Jared Johnson, Kennedy and Easton Posas, her step nieces & nephews: Hope, Haley, Violet, Mike and Brayden.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dave and Betty Hayden and Charles and Frances Johnson; her uncles, Don McCreary, and David Hayden; her cousin, Randy Hayden and niece, Samantha Cannon.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00AM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:30AM, with Mr. Chad Dittman from Church Unlimited Island Campus, officiating. Following the services, the interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
