Shirley “Honey” Dolan was born January 12, 1942 to parents Jim and Gertie Seward of Corpus Christi, Texas. She passed away October 23, 2022 at the age of 80. At her passing, she was accompanied by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Neal Ward and her sister, Linda Royal.
Honey graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1960 and loved visiting with her fellow Buccaneers. She was selected as class favorite all three years at Miller.
She was married to Bobby Dolan for 45 years prior to his passing in 2005. The two of them had many business adventures. Among other things, they owned and operated a hotel on Shoreline Drive, an apartment complex, a fast-food chicken restaurant and a motel that had a previous checkered past. Life was never dull at the Dolan household.
Honey loved to spend time with family and felt extremely lucky to see them often and to watch them grow. She always had a smile on her face and had a way of making everyone she met feel like they were something special.
She is survived by her brother, Bob Seward; daughter, Shelley Brandt (Les); her grandchildren; Hayley Buratowski (Andrew), Neal Ward, Holly Cave (Connor) and Colin Ward; great-grandson, Corbin Cave and dear friend, Rick Holliday.
She will be missed by all that knew her.
Services for Honey, along with Linda Royal and Neal and Kelly Ward, will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 10:00 A.M. at Journey Church in Corpus Christi.
