Shirley Sorensen

Shirley “Pat” Sorensen, 79, of Odem, Texas passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 surrounded by family. She was born in Colorado City, Texas on September 30, 1935 to Roy and Ruby Morris. She enjoyed being a housewife, dining out and watching movies. It was extremely difficult for her to continue living without her beloved husband of almost 60 years. Her earthly journey has come to a close but her eternal salvation with our Lord is everlasting. We know George met her at the heavenly gates and walked her hand and hand into paradise. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Rothlisberger; and her sons, Brian and Paul (Cindy) Sorensen; and his daughter in law, Cynthia Sorensen. She has 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday , September 21, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Humane Society.
