Sharon "Dene" went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 10th, at the age of 60. Dene was born in Robstown Texas on March 7th, 1962 to the late Milus Polk Wright III (Chico) and Barbara (Babs) Wright. She grew up in South Texas, attending St. John's Elementary and graduated from Banquete High School.
Dene worked alongside her sister, Gail, at Country Center in Bluntzer, Texas, eventually managing the store until its closure in 2002. Dene and Randy currently reside in Weimar, Texas where they have acreage and cattle. Her most beloved role of all was loving wife, mother, and Nene. Dene was an angel to everyone she met, never knowing a stranger. Throughout the years she has loved, cooked, and taken care of many friends, always opening her heart and her home.
Dene grew up in South Texas alongside six brothers and sisters. Her love of family is powerful and she will deeply miss her talks with Aunt Harry and her hugs from M.P. She often talked about the fun being with all her siblings - Harriett, M.P., Wayne, Gail, Larry, and Tracy.
Dene and Randy were married on March 14th, 1980 at St. Patrick's Church in San Patricio, Texas. They welcomed their daughter, Heather, in September of that same year. They were blessed with a son, Brody, in May of 1985. The childhood Brody and Heather experienced was full of love, laughter, and so much happiness. Dene and Randy have modeled love and marriage through the highs and lows. The example that was set for their children will live on through both of them.
Dene thought life couldn't get any better until she got a taste of her grandbabies. As you can imagine, her heart grew even bigger as she welcomed Abigail, Brennan, and Ryker. The love their "Nene" has given to them in their time together is so incredible. She has another grandbaby on the way whom we know she is holding first in Heaven as he prepares to debut this coming June. These grandbabies will miss her dearly.
Her mother-in-law, Loretta, has loved and cared for Dene as her own since the passing of her mother. She truly enjoyed her time with Loretta, as well as her sister-in-law, Pam. Dene has so many friends for which she is so grateful - Sissy, Rosa, Tina. There are so many people who are important to Dene. She loved big and she loved hard. To her nieces and nephews, whether it was making pancakes, sitting around a campfire, planning a shower, or celebrating a wedding, she loved every moment with each of you. She loved her Round Rock girls - Judy, Julie, Harry, and Chris.
Faith was Dene's guiding light. She prayed and was a devout Catholic her entire life. She instilled the love of God in her family and there is no doubt that she was greeted with His loving arms. We know Aunt Gail was right behind him and she was embraced by so many loved ones we lost too soon.
The coming days and weeks will be tough. Please look for her in the small things. Always say I love you and cherish every moment with your loved ones.
