Sandra Sykora

Sandra LeMaire Sykora, 62, of Sinton, Texas, a former lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011. She was born September 25, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton, Texas. Sandra loved spending time with her family and extended family and treasured the moments she spent working as a servant of God. She spent many hours with the Priests and Seminarians of the Diocese of Corpus Christi and the Sisters of The Incarnate Word Academy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maxwell P. Dunne, Sr. and Agnes Nickel Dunne; her parents, James Q. Pope, Sr. and Virgin Dunne Pope; and her brother, J. Quentin Pope, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Sykora of Sinton, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law, Henry J. LeMaire, Jr. and Teri LeMaire of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren, Kellen, Lindsey and Leah; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from Noon until 5 P.M. Saturday, June 25, 2011 and 1 P.M. until 5 P.M. Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. Sunday, June 26, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be con-celebrated at 10 A.M. Monday, June 27, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Richard Shirley as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Violet, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Trefflich IV, Scott Hibbetts, Arthur Haas, Robert del Alamo, Wes Thomas, Brian Patterson, and her nephews and niece, Paul, Ryan, Joel and David Carpenter and Colette Bulera. Those who wish may make contributions to the Sisters of The Incarnate Word Academy.
