Samuel Young

Samuel Calvin Young of Corpus Christi, Texas died on February 14, 2017. He was born on June 1, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Horace Young, Texas State Appellate Judge and Thelma Merle (Mayo) Young. Sam is survived by cousins, Judy Mayo, David Mayo, Clyde Mayo and Diane Howard. Sam graduated from Robstown High School and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and later received a Master’s Degree. He was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Robstown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
