Ruth Lorraine Gaddis Wright “called upon the Lord all her life, and He answered her in trouble, delivered her and honored her. He satisfied her with a long life and showed her His salvation” from Psalm 91: 15-16. Ruth was born to Olna and Alva Gaddis on December 28, 1923 in Aransas Pass, Texas. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2016 at her home with her family at her side. She was married to Milus Garland Wright, Sr. in 1942, and they had eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Ruth’s life was filled with love and service to others. Generosity and laughter marked her relationships. In her walk with God, she touched many people. She is survived by her children, Mary Jaquelyn Loeffler (Reudy), Milus Garland Wright, Jr. (Linda), Mildred Kathleen Wright, Alva Ann Wright Burt (Sam), Janice Rachelle Wright Vinyard (Kent), Joseph Wayne Wright (Maeleen), Stephen Jeffry Wright and David Keith Wright (Cydney); 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 24 nieces and nephews Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 7 P.M. with the family present from 6 P.M. until 7 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home with the Rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Prince Kuruvila as celebrant. Burial will follow at Robstown Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jason Wright, Owen Pittman, Matt Burt, Wade Vinyard, J. W. Wright and Miles Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Cody Wright, Ross Burt, Steven Vinyard, Adam Vinyard, Eric Vinyard, Scott Wright, Christopher Wright, Tyler Wright, Todd Wright and Max Wright. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to their favorite charity.
