Roy Slayton

Roy F. Slayton, 94, of Alice, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in an Alice hospital. He was born February 18, 1918 in Haslet, Texas to Ernest O. and Carrie Orlean Sanders Slayton. He was a U.S. Army-Air Corps veteran of WWII and Korea, and was self-employed in the pest control business. Roy was a member of the Baptist Church and was an avid bowler. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, W. J. Slayton, Grover Slayton and Ray Slayton and his sister, Mamie Slayton Messer. He is survived by his brothers, Homer Slayton of Corpus Christi, Texas and Warren Slayton of Alice, Texas; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Tuloso-Midway Baptist Church with the burial to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
