Roberto Rodriguez

Roberto F. Rodriguez, 88, entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2018. He was the husband of Minerva L. Rodriguez. They shared 66 years together. Born in Flowella, Texas, he was the son of Fortunato and Viviana Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife, Minerva Rodriguez; his children, Maria Minerva and Francisco Perez, Maria Thelma and Rolando Bazan, Mary Pauline Rodriguez, Robert and Mary Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, Irene and Fredrick Prescott, Omar Rodriguez, Rosemary and James Massaro; his sister, Conrada Lopez. He had 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Air force from 1946 -1949. He received the World War II victory medal and Army of Occupation (Japan). He was called back into service in 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked as an Aircraft Electrician for 45 years at the Army Depot in Corpus Christi and Alameda, California. The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Sawyer George Funeral Home Chapel with the Rosary to follow at 7:00 P.M. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
