Robert James Seward, born on May 2, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on March 15, 2025. He led a life characterized by steadfast dedication to his family, work, and country.
A graduate of Roy Miller High School, Robert pursued a career as a Rig Welder and Boiler Maker, where he honed his skills and contributed significantly to his field. His commitment extended beyond his profession; he proudly served in the United States Air Force, exemplifying his dedication to his country.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Robert found joy in riding, as well as fishing and hunting. His faith was of importance as well, as he was a member of the Catholic Church, reflecting the values that guided him throughout his years.
Robert leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his ex-wife, Camille Richards; children, Robert James Seward, Jr. and his wife Fawnda, and Erin Elizabeth Seward Garcia and her husband, Jacob. He also cherished his nieces, Shelly Brandt and Karen Royal, and nephews, Billy Royal and Jimmy Royal. Robert's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Robert James Seward, III, Baily Elyse Seward Gonzalez, Bryce Evan Seward, Sheldyn Kate Louise Seward, Lany Elizabeth Garcia, and Dominic Jacob Garcia, along with his great-grandchildren, Blake Rylan Gonzalez, Kayce Dean Gonzalez, Carter Elyse Gonzalez, Everlay Grace Seward, and Emery Louise Timbs as well as many cousins. He also leaves behind dear friends, Stephanie and Edward and many others.
He was predeceased by his father, James Earnest Seward; his mother, Gertrude Seward, and his siblings, Honey Seward Dolan and Linda Seward Royal.
A ceremony to honor Robert will take place at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas, on April 4, 2025, with an inurnment at 11:00 AM.
Robert James Seward will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, and the joys he found in life's simple pleasures. He leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
