Robert Dean “Bobby” McGee, 67, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at his home after a long illness. He was born December 23, 1946 in Paris, Texas. Bobby was a U. S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War and worked for 45 years throughout Texas as a gas compressor mechanic. He was a member of Annaville Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaius Monard McGee and Alma Kessling McGee; and a special nephew, Chris Gunter. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy McGee of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sons, Shane Webb McGee (Dona) of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jason Dean McGee (AnneMarie) of Odem, Texas; brother, Jimmie McGee (Bette) of George West, Texas; sisters, Joan Rankin (Eddie) of Beeville, Texas and Peggy Brooks of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Mason McGee, Madison McGee, Tiffany McGee and Christopher McGee; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. with the family present from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby’s nephew, Bro. Johnnie Gunter and Bro. Robert Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Shane McGee, Jason McGee, Mason McGee, Ron Goldman, Alan Rankin, Kenny McGee, Mike Harvey and Edgar Fuentes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmie McGee, Eddie Rankin, Joe McGee, David Lytle, Claude Gunter and Christopher McGee.
