Robert Malek

Robert (Bob) Malek passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

He was born May 19, 1944 in Robstown, Texas.

Bob worked with his dad farming and ranching. He loved the land and looking at the crops - especially grain.

He had other occupations in his life as well – working for agriculture chemical companies and the oilfield.

His greatest joy was caring for his mom and dad in their later life.

Bob loved hunting and following local (Robstown Cotton Pickers) and college (Texas Longhorns) sports.

Bob enjoyed his brothers’ and sisters’ kids and grandkids (the Maloy, Malek and Lorenz kids).

He also enjoyed his family’s Czech Heritage - especially the music and the pivo!

Along with his siblings, Bob attended St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Martha Malek, brothers Bill Malek and Danny Malek.

Surviving siblings are Martha Clark of Robstown; Marie Maloy of Corpus Christi; Jimmy (Harriet) Malek and Barbara Anderson, both of Abilene.

Our gratitude goes to the wonderful staff at the Live Oak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in George West where Bob lived for the past three years. Thank you also to Hospice for their care.
