Richard Higerd

Richard C. “R.C.” Higerd, 85, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 5, 2015 after a short battle with mesothelioma. He was born in Olustee, Oklahoma on July 15, 1930 to the late Homer and Irene Higerd, moving to Corpus Christi at an early age. He retired from his plumbing business in 1989 to enjoy ranching and travel. R. C. is survived by his wife, Pat, of 63 years. He leaves behind one son, Rick Higerd (Gwen); one daughter, Terri Dauzat (Farrell); six grandchildren, Kyle, Allison, Paige and Sean Higerd, Ryan Dauzat and Megan Karn; four great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, October 9, 2015 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.
