Regina Gallagher

Regina "Jean" Gallagher, age 88, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 after a long illness. Jean was born on May 9, 1923 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is descended from South Texas pioneer Bluntzer and Gallagher families. Jean was employed by Southwestern Bell for over 18 years. Miss Gallagher was a long time member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Margaret Gallagher. She is survived by her two sisters, Marie Jernigan and Pat Irene Gallagher. Visitation will begin at 6 P.M. with the Rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Monday, April 30, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3350 South Alameda, with Rev. Msgr. Roger Smith as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
