Phyllis Hanson

Phyllis L. Hanson, 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away suddenly at her home on December 18, 2012. She was born to Viola Mae and Max Metting on March 2, 1935 in Yorktown, Texas. She was a graduate of Yorktown High School and retired form Central Power and Light Co. after thirty years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family meant everything to her and she will be truly missed by everyone that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Kenneth and Dennis Metting. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Donald L. Hanson; brother, Wayne Metting; daughter, Candyce G. Hanson Steward; son, Eugene E. (Rosetta M.) Hanson, Richard "Rick" Hanson; grandchildren, Gregory Steward, Melissa A. (Gordon) Chaviers, Jerry A. Campbell, Travis M. (Valerie) Hanson, Elizabeth J. Hanson and Taylor R. Hanson; great grandchildren, Nicholas Chaviers, Jackson Chaviers, Fransesca Chaviers, Jolena Ramos, Marley R. Hanson, and Drew Daniel Hanson. Visitation will be on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 12 noon to 2:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roman Hernandez officiating. Services will be concluded at the funeral home.
