Penny (Hamilton) Dye, age 59, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away and went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2012. She was born on August 27, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Edward and Sarah Hamilton. Penny was a graduate of Roy Miller High School in 1970. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, LeRoy Dye of Corpus Christi, Texas; her daughter, Kelly Dye of New York City, New York; her sisters, Pamela Savis of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mary Dawn (Tim) West of Portland, Texas and Sally (Johnny) Whitworth of Corpus Christi, Texas; her brother, Larry Mers of Houston, Texas; her mother-in-law, Faye Burris of Loudon, Tennessee; her brother-in-law, Malcolm (Connie) Dye of Nederland, Texas; her sisters-in-law, Connie (Jack) Bereman of Waller, Texas and Carolyn (Carl) Bingham of Loudon, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family present will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday, March 23, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Milby and Pastor Danny Isom officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her nephews and a close family friend.
