Peggy Sugarek

Peggy Sugarek, 82, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Beeville, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014. She was born February 1, 1932 in Midland, Texas to Wilbur and Margaret Smith Coleman. Peggy was a retired school psychologist for the Beeville I.S.D. and at the time of her death was the organist for the Goliad Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her children, Margaret (John) Dunn of Beeville, Texas, Bill (Sharon) Sugarek of Calallen, Texas, Bob Sugarek of Kingsville, Texas and Ronnie (Debbie) Sugarek of Austin, Texas; her sister, Joan (Ted) McElroy of Alabama; 10 grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Stevenson, Amy (Jeff) Sweeney, Kelly Stevenson, Will (Leila) Stevenson, Jason (Heather) Sugarek, Jana (Johnny) Chapa, Kyle (Deidra) Sugarek, Sarah Sugarek, Blake Sugarek and Garry Don (Kushan) Sugarek; 16 great grandchildren, Luke, James, Paul, Oliver, Grant, Jaedin, Ethan, Timothy, Waylon, Kya, Ryder, Hannah, Jake, Emma, Jonathan “J.B.” and Dawn; 1 niece and 1 nephew. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 P.M. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel in Calallen with Rev. Bette Burris officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be David Stevenson, Johnny McElroy, Norman Walters, Larry Searcy, Santos Villanueva and her grandsons.
