Patrick Cook

Patrick Kelly "Pat" Cook, 63, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013. He was born October 23, 1949 in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where he attended on a football scholarship. Pat was a member of Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church and was one of the original founders of Saltwater Fisheries Enhancement Association. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Katherine Cook; his father, Durward Cook; and his sister, Vickie Lee Fox. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Cook of Corpus Christi, Texas; his daughters, Brianne (Gordon) Lund of Hiram, Georgia, Alyssa (Danny) Nabors of Spring, Texas, and Katy Cook of Conroe, Texas; his mother, Katy Jo Cook of Splendora, Texas; his sister, Penny (Kent) Eckhardt of Splendora, Texas; his grandchildren, Andrew Lund, Jolie Carter, Tanner Nabors, Jackson Lund and Jacey Nabors; uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. until 7 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at Noon Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Donny Eckhardt, Randy Eckhardt, John Fox, Danny Nabors, Gordon Lund, John Hubbard, John Williamson, Terry King, David Coe, Charlie Mader, Stan Wilson and Stuart Simon. The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
