Patricia Lee Lemmons was born Patricia Lee Stevens on October 9, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents, Armour and Maude Stevens. In 1945 Pat moved with her mother to California and then to Texas. She graduated in 1960 from DeSoto High School. In 1960, in Cedar Hill, Pat met and married Paul Lemmons. Paul and Pat had two sons, Lee and Mark and in 1970 moved to Houston. In 1977 they moved to Corpus Christi where Pat worked for Swantner and Gordon Insurance from 1977 until her retirement. She went on to launch two successful businesses, Snacktime vending, and her true passion, KittyStoreOnline, selling cat and pet supplies. She loved animals but had a particular love for cats, taking in, caring for, and quite frankly spoiling as many as she could get her hands on. Pat enjoyed the outdoors, specifically freshwater and saltwater fishing and it is widely believed that her prolific abilities at catching reds is the reason that, to this day, her son Mark, can't catch one to save his life. Together Pat and Paul traveled widely, visiting many parts of the United States, Mexico, France and Germany. She is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather (daddy) Clarence Eugene Welch, and her husband Paul Allen Lemmons. She is survived by her sister, Liz Gurley; brother, Thomas (Gena) Welch; sons, Lee (Kari) Lemmons, Mark (Melissa) Lemmons; grandchildren, Chris (Samantha) Lemmons, Kaitlynn (Jubal) Longoria; great granddaughter, Madi Lemmons; nieces, Kathy (Charlie) Horn, Amanda Christensen, Jessica Welch, Sheri Gurley and Kim Hennel; nephews, Thomas Welch and Doug Gurley. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis, Texas with Rev. David Tiner officiating. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal shelter in Pat's memory.
