Orville Alton "O.A." Wilson, age 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 11, 2015. He was born May 23, 1936 in Rule, Texas. Orville was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Sanford and Iva Pearl "Ellison" Wilson; four brothers; three sisters; and a son, Dennis Patrick Wilson. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Edie Wilson; sisters, Bonnie Holland and Jewel Mayrant; son, David (Vickie) Wilson; daughter, Deborah (Mike) Haven; daughter-in-law, Carolyn (David) Antonetz; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Orville proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Army. He married his one and only love and life partner, Edie Hajek, in 1960. They raised their family in Calallen, where they lived together for the past 47 years. His hobbies were camping, fishing and most of all....golf. He also enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren in their many sporting endeavors. Orville was a founding member of Bible Believer's Baptist Church in Corpus Christi; where he served as a director. He loved his church family dearly. A memorial honoring his life will be held at Bible Believers Baptist Church, 1701 Rand Morgan Road, on Saturday, November 21st at 10:30 AM a reception will follow.
