Nova West

Nova N. “No-No” West, 87, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was born August 28, 1930 in Beeville, Texas to Floyd Ferdinand and Nora Augusta Gallagher Layton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Kenneth Boyd West, Sr. in 1984; her son, Richard West; and her granddaughter, Nicole West Horak. She is survived by her children, Mary J. Mitchell, Kenneth B. West, Jr. (Dorothy), Monica Seaman (Steve), and Charlotte Lysinger; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Nell Layton. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2045 18th Street, with Rev. Tomasz Kozub as celebrant. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery.
