Norris Bridges

Norris Leeman "Slim" Bridges, 88, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away October 28, 2012. He was born November 12, 1923 in Roff, Oklahoma to Joe and Emma Walker Bridges. He was retired from Champlin Refinery, was involved with Oil Belt Little League, a charter member of Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church and an avid Calallen Wildcat fan. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Bridges of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Bonnie (Bert) Bridges Bethel of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons, Douglas (Jeanne) Bridges of Orange Grove, Texas and Dale (Linda) Bridges of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Brandi (Brad) Ordner, Brandon (Jennifer) Bridges, Brian Bridges, Connor Bridges, David Skrobarczyk, Allison and Amanda Bridges; great grandchildren, Bridget, Fallon, Ty and Lane and friends, Heather and Taylor Potter. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. with the family present from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday November 5, 2012 at 12:30 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steven K. Arndt officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church.
