Nelson Hamilton

Nelson Irl Hamilton, age 64, of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 28, 2017. He was born March 23, 1953 in Uvalde, Texas to Edwin Irl and Helen Morgan Hamilton. He grew up in Crystal City and Carrizo Springs area of Texas. He retired from Flint Hills Refinery after 35 years of service. He was a certified ham radio operator “KD5HOV”. His passion was spending time with his family and friends. He loved UT Football, fishing, hunting, golfing, BBQ, and kayaking. He loved being outdoors and spending time on the water. He was always the life of the party and be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and a cousin, Johnny Flanagan. He is survived by his loving companion, Sandra Cleveland; children, Nih Hamilton, Morgan (Jim) Foucar and Sandra’s children (whom he thought of his own), Ashley Cleveland, Travis Cleveland, Tucker Cleveland, Marissa Cleveland; brother, Mark Hamilton; sister, Margaret Hamilton and Elaine Hamilton; grandchildren, Victoria Hamilton, Nih Hamilton, Devon Hamilton, Avery Foucar and Rowan Foucar. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Msgr. Michael Howell officiating. An Irish wake will be held following the services at 9862 Daisy Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
