Nancy Lee Nolen Rumfield, a long-time resident of the Corpus Christi area, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, the 27th of July. Born December 30, 1942 in Edna, Texas, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Vilas Nolen and her second husband, Gerald Rumfield. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia “Ginger” Thompson and husband Richard; son, Daniel “Danny” Nolen and wife Trisha; daughter, Jamie Flaim and husband James; sister, Maxine Tyler; brother, Donald McAdams; grandchildren, Robin Soto and husband Adam, Martin Thompson and wife Ashleigh, Catherine Meyers and husband Luke, Jamie Nolen, Casey Flaim, Audrey Flaim, and Nolen Flaim; and great grandchildren, George Thompson and Tilden Thompson who called her Great. Nancy traveled annually to Jamaica on mission trips. She was not your typical cookie baking grandmother, she was an avid hunter. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved to sing and play the piano. She was a great mentor for her children and a role model for all. Visitation will be at Sawyer-George Funeral Home on Sunday evening July 30, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the church of Christ at Riverside on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Matthew Gibson officiating. Entombment will be in the Robstown Memorial Park Mausoleum.
