Nancy Elaine Clements, 80, of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with our Lord on March 16, 2021. She was born on January 31, 1941 in Macon, Georgia to her parents Ernest and Eunice DeBerry. She was the youngest of 6 children and preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eunice DeBerry; sisters Mildred, Helen, Ernestine, Annette and brother Edward. She is survived by her daughter, Jolene Brittain (Roger); granddaughter, Emily Kotzur (Kevin) and grandson Jeremy Brittain (Mercedes) and great-granddaughters Brooklyn and Rylan Kotzur, and loving Whitman, Latham and Brittain family.
She grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and eventually resided in Giddings, Texas and owned and managed a restaurant, Nancy’s Drive-In, for many years. She then moved to Austin and worked for the Department of Public Safety, retiring after 10 years of service in 2003. When she wasn’t working hard, she loved to take vacations and especially travel to Las Vegas with friends or family to find her favorite slot machine. Family was her world and she was a wonderful and caring mother, sister, aunt, Nana and friend. She never said good-bye without an “I Love You”.
Special gratitude to New Century Hospice staff and her home caregivers who mean so much to us.
