Myrtle Lucille Heinrich, 96, passed into eternal life on June 28, 2010, peacefully at home with family. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 28, 1913 to James and Fannie Galbreath. Myrtle worked at the telephone company until the birth of her first son, Jimmy, then stayed at home to raise their two sons, afterwards working at Tuloso-Midway Elementary school as the librarian. After her time there, she always enjoyed the company of her family. Living close to school, the grandkids would walk to her house where she would always be in the kitchen with dinner ready, and a pie or cake on the way. After supper, she always enjoyed a good card game with family. Even into her 90’s, Myrtle maintained an extremely sharp mind; to sit down and have a conversation with someone who has experienced nearly one hundred years of life is truly remarkable. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edgar (Farina), her brothers, J. B. and Ira, her sisters, Elizabeth and Fannie Mae, and her son, Jim Heinrich. She is survived by her son, Larry R. Heinrich; her daughter-in-law, Evelyn Heinrich; her grandchildren, Chase, Vance, Doug and Randy; her great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kamryn; her niece, Barbara McCain. Myrtle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed very dearly. The family would like to give special thanks to Francis, Dr. Curtis, Sam with Vista Care Hospice and especially Clara for all of your loving care and support of our mother and grandmother. Memorial services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 2, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to Grace United Methodist Church or Concan Baptist Mission, Concan, Texas.
