Morgan Groves, age 77 joined Our Lord on September 1, 2011. Morgan was born October 21, 1933 to John and Nettie Groves in Albany, New York. His family moved to South Texas when Morgan was seven years old. Morgan joined the United States Marine Corp when he was seventeen years old and proudly served our country during the Korean War. Morgan spent the largest part of his career within law enforcement. He owned Robstown Ambulance Service in Robstown in the late 1960's through the early 1970's serving Robstown and the surrounding communities. During Morgan's law enforcement career he has served as Deputy Sheriff, Police Officer and Constable. Morgan retired as a Precinct 2 Constable of Caldwell County. Morgan was an avid golfer, however was a pro at being a jokester. His jokes and the smiles he caused will be missed. Morgan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's almost six years ago when he moved to Bishop, Texas for relentless care by his daughter. Morgan leaves behind three daughters which were the love of his life, Fleta Dromgoole (Bob) of Falfurrias, Texas, Debbie Schonefeld (David) of Bishop, Texas and Sherrie Gaines (Larry) of Calallen; one sister, Rowena Smith of Thorntown, Indiana; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Morgan's services were held on September 5, 2011. To know Morgan was to love him. The past six years has been an honor and blessing to his daughters.
