Monte E. Jauer

Monte E. Jauer passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his home in Avery, Texas. He was 69.

Monte was born July 6, 1953, in Robstown, Texas, to Monroe Otto and Jean Shenk Jauer. He was retired from American Electric Power, where he worked as an Analyst. He loved the outdoors, boating, camping and managing livestock. Monte was a member of First Baptist Church in Clarksville, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister-in-law, Karen Jauer.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jauer of Avery, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Rick Wilson of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry Jauer of Kountze, Texas and Randy and Cindy Jauer of Kountze, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 14, 2023 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home with the graveside service to follow on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 10:00AM at Memorial Park Cemetery.
