Mildred Irene “Mickey” (Krause) Jamison Dreiling, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and long time resident of Corpus Christi passed away on February 23, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Mickey, was the third of four children. She was born to the late Carl and Ola Krause on February 8, 1925 in Bartlett, Texas. Mickey graduated from Liberty Hill High School in May of 1943. She attended Nixon-Clay Business College in Austin and was employed at the Texas State School for the Deaf. She married the late Jesse F. Jamison Jr., former Port Director Corpus Christi, in June 1946. For 29 years, they along with their two son’s Allan and Paul shared many joyous times fishing, camping, and hunting. After the death of Jesse on September 30, 1975 Mickey was employed at Kleberg, Mobley, Lockett and Weil law firm where she met K. Dean Dreiling this began an adventurous 30 years together. Their shared love of faith, family and friends was the foundation of their blessed relationship. Mickey and Dean relished the endeavors of their combined clan of six adult sons and their families. Mickey was a long standing member of First United Methodist and her beloved Cooper Sunday school class. Mickey and Dean enjoyed traveling across the United States and Europe. Mickey was an active member of Corpus Christi Garden club and Lantana Garden club where her prowess with floral arrangements could be viewed on Sunday morning church services. Mickey was a Master Flower Show judge. In addition, she successfully competed in local floral competitions. She also enjoyed her Thursday afternoon Gabby Card club, which consisted of more gabbing than card playing. Mickey and Dean were members of the Revelaires Dance Club where they enjoyed dining and dancing with their numerous friends. Mickey loved her many friends in these organizations. She enjoyed baking dinner, cakes and her scrumptious fruit pies for family and friends in times of celebration and sorrow. Her magnificent pies will be sorely missed. Mickey was always on hand with a warm smile and her thoughtful gift/care packages. Her family never departed her home without a “goodie” bag. Mickey’s captured memories through photography will be forever cherished by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; Jesse F. Jamison Jr., K. Dean Dreiling, Lonnie Krause (brother), and Gladys Purser (sister). Mickey is survived by her beloved brother Clyde (Shirley) sons and wives Allan K. and Debbie Jamison of Gonzales, and Paul W. and Vicki Jamison of Taft. Step-sons: Richard and Sandy Dreiling of Houston. Fred Dreiling and Denise Lilly of Corpus Christi, David and Kelli Dreiling of The Woodlands, and John Dreiling of Dallas. Her grandchildren and spouses, Jessica Jamison, Brent Jamison, Aislynn Campbell Jamison, John (Marlena) Jamison, Andy (Becca) Aduddell, Michlynn (Sid) Dreiling-Vandiver, Shawna (Kelly) Dreiling-Loyd, Spencer (Nicole) Dreiling, Chad (Amy) Lilly, Jill Marie (Keith) Wilson, Elizabeth Anne Dreiling, Amber (Jonathan) Muellar, Dylan Dreiling, Allison Dreiling; her great-grand grandchildren, Courtland Campbell, Lillian Campbell, Lori Jamison, Lane Jamison, Brooks Aduddell, Kaiya Sailer Grace Vandiver, Madison Noelle Vandiver, Jackson Porter Loyd, Emma Rose Loyd, Mason Dean Dreiling, Michaela Wilson, Brayden Lilly, Keely Jo Wilson, Autumn Rose Dreiling, Ali Brown, Chase Lynn Schoen, many special nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her physician Dr. Gregory, Coastal Palms, Mickey’s caregivers, hospices nursing staff and minister for their love and support. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church on Shoreline Blvd. with The Rev. Greg Hackett officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 P.M. at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas with The Rev. Steve Fieldcamp officiating.
