Michael Davis

Michael Lee Davis went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 4th, 2011 after battling with a long illness. Mike was born January 25th, 1949 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Fred Lee and Edna Mae Davis. Mikes' teenage years and early adult years were spent in Calallen, Texas where he attended and graduated from Calallen High School in 1968. He was a proud member of the Calallen Baptist Church, played in the Calallen Marching Band and was an avid recreational bowler. In 1978 Mike relocated to Henderson, Texas where he was employed by Texas Utility Company for 25 years of loyal service. During this time Mike met and married Betty and became the proud father of twin daughters, Amanda and Jennifer. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Fred Lee Davis and his brother, David Gene Davis. He is survived by his mother, Edna Mae Davis; a sister, Cheryl Davis Stevenson and her husband David; a brother, Chuck Davis and his wife Julie; two daughters, Mandy Hesse and Jennifer Green and her husband, Nicholas; four grandchildren, Chassity McCoy, Jacklynn McCoy, Elektra Hesse and Hudson Hesse; many nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi, Texas. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson, Texas. Mikes' positive attitude towards life was truly an inspiration to us all and he will be greatly missed.
