Michael Daigle

Michael Jason Daigle died November 3, 2017 in his home in Corpus Christi, TX. He was 48 years old. Michael was a native of Thibodaux, LA. He was born on June 4, 1969 to his parents Gilbert and Betty Daigle. He married Nena Nash Powers and joined the US Navy in 1990. The Navy brought them to many places but they settled in Corpus Christi, TX. He retired from the Navy in 2011. Since then he began working for the Defense Logistics Agency at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. He worked there until his passing. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, camping, making people laugh and spoiling his grandchildren. Michael leaves behind a loving wife, Nena Daigle, and 3 daughters, Sabrina Powers of Chalmette, LA, Brittany Schanen of Corpus Christi, TX, and Heidi Powers of Corpus Christi, TX; his parents Gilbert and Betty Daigle of Thibodaux, LA; his 3 Sisters, Melissa Ashley of Raceland, LA, Lorrie Fields of Thibodaux, LA and JoAnn Denison of Thibodaux, LA; 6 grandchildren, 5 nephews, 4 nieces, 2 great-nephews, and 2 great-nieces. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert and Loucille Daigle Sr., Albert Osborn and Jeanette Albarado and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Monday, November 13th, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm. Graveside services with full military honors will be conducted at 2:00pm Monday November 13th, 2017 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
