Michael Berry

Michael Joe Berry, age 60, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away April 5, 2011. He was born October 22, 1950 in San Antonio to Joe and Myrtle Berry. He served in The United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device and the Army Commendation Medal. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of the Sons of Herman and a member of the Bexar County Sheriffs Mounted Posse. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Gail Berry of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Cole of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandson, Denton Cole of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughter, Taylor Cole of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Peggy Berry of Fulton, Texas; nieces and nephews, Annette and Glenn Lamm and Brian and Angie Berry; close friend Rodney Rankin. Visitation will be on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at a later date in the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
