Melba Lois Pattillo

MELBA LOIS THOMAS PATTILLO, 93, moved forward on her eternal journey on January 31, 2025. She was born in Robstown, Texas on April 14, 1931 to TJ Thomas and Venie Zella Hunter Thomas. She graduated Robstown High School in 1948 and worked at the Bank of Robstown until the birth of her third child in which she chose to stay home and raise her three children. In 1953, she married the love of her life, William Alfred “Bill or Sonny” Pattillo, and they were married until his death in 2019. 

She was an avid seamstress and if you have one of her baby quilts, you are truly blessed!! 

She loved traveling the world and traveled the United States displaying her vivid imagination through the display of her Rock Food Table. She was an active member of the Gulf Coast Gem and Mineral Society, Robstown Area Historical Society and the Hwy 44 Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father and step-father, two sisters and brother, and her son, William A. “Trey” Pattillo III. She leaves behind to cherish her memory Diane (Cray) Schanen and Valerie (Rick) Springer , 4 Grandchildren, Amanda (Cody) Rokohl , James (Brittany) Schanen , Cassandra and Kendra Springer. 5 Great Grandchildren, Damien, Jocelyn, James, Alayna and Kimber. 

We would like to thank Stepping Stones unit at Villa South and Nurses on Wheels Hospice for their wonderful care during this trying time. Funeral Service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday February 7, 2025 at the Hwy 44 Church of Christ in Robstown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make donations to Alzheimer's Research or the Robstown Area Historical Society/Robstown Museum or the Hwy 44 Church of Christ in Robstown.
