Max Lopez

Max Andrew Lopez, 56, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2021. He was born on August 22, 1965, in Mathis, Texas to Cezar & Leonila “Nila” Lopez and lived in Calallen, Goliad, and the Annaville area of Corpus Christi. Max graduated from Goliad High School and attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco. Max worked for the Texas Department of Transportation in Corpus Christi for 38 years until his retirement.

Max was preceded in death by his parents Cezar & Nila Lopez.

Max is survived by his wife of 34 years Margaret Lopez; his son, Christopher (Samantha) Ybarbo; daughter, April Lopez (Jess Arroyo); nephew, Jesse James (Roxanne) Lopez; grandchildren Adonica Flores, Aryanna Flores, Ayden Flores, Avery Flores, Connor Ybarbo, Jessamine Arroyo, Cooper Ybarbo, and Layla Lopez; siblings, Sam (Diana) Lopez, Christi (Johnny) Perales, Mark Lopez, Monica (Robert) Flores, Ron (Annette Juarez) Lopez, and Sonya (Greg) Sosa.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM and Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at Sawyer George Funeral Home on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 11, 2021, at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church on Violet Road.
