Mary Jeanette Robinson Ranly passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011, at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas after a long battle with cancer. A member of an early pioneer family, Jeanette was born on May 4, 1935 to Bernice and Phillip Robinson. Jeanette was a person of many talents and would tackle any task with gusto. She took her job of caring for her husband and raising her family very seriously, and she was an exceptional wife and mother. Her heart warmed the spirits of her loved ones and her intellect guided their betterment. Jeanette undertook the education of her children with the utmost care, instilling in them the only lesson of importance-the meaning of family. She was happiest when she was caring for her family, most especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. To say we will miss Jeanette is an understatement, but her presence lives on in the goodness of our lives, which is the most perfect way to honor her memory. The family extends their deepest appreciation to all those family members and friends who helped care for Jeanette in her remaining months. Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald J. Ranly of Corpus Christi, Texas; their children, Jennifer (Dale Nelson) Zunke of Portland, Texas, Keith (Leslee) Ranly of Sugar Land, Texas, Lauren (Lance) Duke of Corpus Christi, Texas; her most precious grandchildren, Hunter and Abigail Ranly of Sugar Land, Texas, Lawson Duke of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dale (Jackie) Zunke of Atlanta, Georgia; her sister, Phyllis (Edward) Smith of Corpus Christi, Texas; her niece, Melissa Smith of San Antonio, Texas; two nephews, Kyle (Ashley) Smith and Brandon (Wendy) Smith both of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous extended family and friends.
