Mary Lou Payne Boyd, 93, born in Weleetka, Oklahoma October 17, 1932, entered the presence of Jesus Christ on November 21, 2024, from Corpus Christi, Texas. Mary Lou was the last of her immediate family to pass away, which consisted of 5 siblings and parents. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her first husband Ray Payne of Weleetka, Oklahoma, and her second husband, Lester Boyd of Odom, Texas.
Mary Lou loved God, the Bible, and her family. She worked as an administrative secretary to the Dean of the West Campus of Del Mar College for 20+ years. She loved the outdoors, swimming, and collecting Indian paintings and artifacts. Mary Lou was a gifted artist and loved doing Chalk Talk Drawings and Oil Paintings. Mary Lou was filled with wisdom, hard worker, loved to laugh, enjoyed her friends, being with her family, serving in her church Annaville Baptist of Corpus Christi, and serving as a church soloist. Her last 10 years of life was resided at Trinity Tower independent living of Corpus Christ. She was involved in her community of Trinity Tower and was loved by many residents and staff.
Mary Lou is survived by her 3 children, Virigina Payne of Seven Points, Tx., Robert Payne of Corpus Christi, Tx., and Gary Payne and his wife Eva Jo Clawson Payne of Brandon, Fl. Mary Lou also says goodbye to 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mary Lou Payne Boyd family visitation is 8am – 10am at Sawyer George on 12397 Leopard Street of Corpus Christi. Her graveside service 11am will be at Memory Gardens 8200 Old Brownsville Rd. Corpus Christi, Tx.
