Mary Cooper

Mary Elizabeth Cooper, 87, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. She was born January 11, 1926 to Oscar and Hazel Elam. She was an active member of South Shore Christian Church. Mary worked numerous jobs in her younger years retiring from Schottenstein’s Furniture in Columbus, Ohio. After retirement Mary and Carl moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl W. Cooper, two brothers, two sisters and son-in-law, John Bedford. She is survived by three daughters, Patty (Gary) Valentine of Ohio, Sharon Bedford, and Becky (Jerry) Huffman both of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sisters, Ruth Jacob and Vickie Price both of Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at South Shore Christian Church.
