Mary Belote

Mary Ruth Thomas Belote passed away peacefully from her earthly life to begin her eternal life with her Heavenly Father on August 6, 2022, in Conroe, Texas.
Mary Ruth was born on January 28, 1933, in Robstown, Texas to Henry Thomas and Harvie Humphries Thomas. Her school years through to high school graduation were spent in  Banquette, Texas where she was very active in the 4H club and many school activities. She attended Southwest Teachers College and Abilene Christian College where she graduated in 1954. She started teaching that same year and taught for 38 years. A year after retiring she returned to the teaching profession as a teacher mentor for new teachers starting out in the profession.
Teaching was her passion, she loved each and every one of her students and she was loved by them in return. She had an incredible love for all children and she treasured being a Mom to her daughters, Mimi to her grandchildren, and Little Mimi to her great-grandchildren.
Mary Ruth married Glenn Allen Belote on June 24, 1961, at Second Street Church of Christ in Robstown, Texas. During their marriage, they had two daughters Kimberly Kae Belote and Deborah D'ann Belote.
Mary Ruth was a member of the Church of Christ and she never failed to express her love and faith in the Lord.
She leaves behind her 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren
She is proceeded in death by her parents Henry and Harvie Thomas. Two brothers William B. Thomas and Richard C. ''Dick'' Thomas. And a niece, Lorena Ann Thomas.
We cannot see her, but she is still with us. A Mother, Mimi, and Little Mimi like ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence always making her love known to her family.
