Marty Mills

Marty Gene Mills, son of Willie John Alvin Mills and Annie James Mills, brother of Sandra Joan Adams, born in Anderson County South Carolina, May 19, 1944, passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 27, 2013. Marty was a graduate of Wren High School in Anderson County South Carolina. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the USAF, a student of Florida Tech and the University of Georgia, a committed husband, father, and friend, an accomplished musician, and a devoted student to his work in the computer industry. Surviving family include: wife Virginia C. Mills; daughter Jennifer A. Schneider, her husband Douglas and their three sons Steven, Brandon, and Colten; son Marty Gene Mills II, his wife Angela and their 3 children Matthew, Michelle, and Mason; as well as extended family. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78410. Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be conducted on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
