Martha Vanderslice

Martha Alice Vanderslice went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2014. She was born October 23, 1941 to Earnest and Laurie Callaway in Wichita Falls, Texas. Martha graduated from Texas A & I University Cum Laude. She taught at Calallen ISD for thirteen years and Orange Grove ISD. Prior to becoming a teacher she was a waitress at Ship Ahoy Restaurant for twelve years. She loved Bingo, playing cards, games, crafts and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Laurie Callaway. She is survived by her husband of fifty years Charles Vanderslice; children, Kyle (Charmaine) Rowlett, Tammy (George) Davis, Johnny (Lisa) Vanderslice; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
