Martha Fuqua

Martha Jane Soule Fuqua went home to her Lord and Savior, Saturday, September 17, 2016. Martha was born May 29, 1929 to her father, Joseph S. Law and her mother, Martha Francis Bailey Paine. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, her sister, Joanne Andre and a brother, Howard B. Law, her first husband, Jim Swope and second husband, Richard C. Soule. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Leray) Hoelscher, one granddaughter, Tami (Clifford) Cogsdell and one grandson, Josh (Kelle) Hoelscher, three great granddaughters, Amber Zimmerle, Leah Jiran, and Sindale Hoelscher. Martha was an avid game player and played Bunco with two different groups for many years. She loved to travel and was able to travel throughout the United States, Canada and the Panama Canal. She loved Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church and her extended family there and was very active in her service to the church. Most of all Martha loved her family and never left them in any doubt of her love. A Memorial Service to celebrate Martha's reunion with Christ will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church located 10500 Stonewall Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX with reception to follow immediately after the service. Pastor Wendy Nave and Pastor Charles Walden will join in officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church in her memory.
